Questions people actually ask
Is super included in my salary figure?+
Enter your base salary before super, then use the advanced panel to see how much your employer adds on top at the 12% guarantee rate.
Why is the Medicare levy separate from income tax?+
They're calculated differently โ the levy is a flat 2% of taxable income above a low-income threshold, while income tax is bracketed. We show them separately so the breakdown matches your payslip.
Does this account for my HELP/HECS repayments?+
Turning on "Study / training loan" in the advanced panel adds an estimate using the 2025โ26 repayment thresholds, but check the current ATO rates before relying on the figure for a real repayment plan.
